NatureRx
Did you know spending time in nature improves physical and mental well-being? Research has shown that as little as 20 minutes spent engaged with nature can reduce feelings of stress, depression and anxiety while at the same time increasing immune system function, concentration and memory.

Holistic Huskies
The Holistic Huskies are a mental wellbeing peer education group that develops and delivers programs to diverse student audiences on various mental health and emotional wellbeing topics, including but not limited to self-care, impacts of systems of oppression, mindfulness, artistic outlets, and supporting the community.

Thrift Den
The Thrift Den is a circular initiative on campus for sustainable fashion. All clothing donations come from the UConn community. Members of the UConn community can then “shop” for one free item a week. Thrift Den hosts sewing workshops and sewing hours.

The Welcome Quilt
We create handmade quilts for babies and toddlers who are newcomers to the U.S. or facing hardship. No sewing experience is needed, just your time, creativity, and care.

Substance Use Risk Reduction Peer Health Educators
Visit a safe and non-judgmental space to talk about anything related to alcohol, cannabis, and other substance use-whether it’s for yourself or someone you care about. Peer educators are students just like you, trained to provide education, support, and connection to resources on and off-campus.

Balancing Alcohol And Substances To Improve College Success (BASICS)
Have a private conversation with a supportive and non-judgmental facilitator trained to help you explore your use of alcohol or other substances, without feeling any shame or fear of consequence.
Access BASICS through your student health portal by selecting ‘Alcohol and Cannabis Screening’ and then selecting BASICS. -
UConn Recovery Community
The UConn Recovery Community (URC) defines recovery simply: “you are in recovery when you say you are, as you define it.” We provide a safe, supportive environment that meets the educational and personal needs of students exploring or living in recovery.

A student-led research and design lab where students investigate belonging, surface identity-centered insight, and prototype improvements that shape real institutional change.

gloveBOX
gloveBOX is Student Health and Wellness’ safer-sex supply delivery service. Students can order safer-sex supplies, including condoms, lubrication, and dental dams, to have delivered directly to their mailroom or available for pickup. Students can choose from 6 different boxes, up to 3 times a semester.

Sexpert Peer Health Educators
A paid peer health education program composed of 8 highly dedicated students who are passionate about promoting sexual health on the UConn campus. The Sexperts’ office is located in South Campus, Wilson Hall, room 106.
